Hypnosis Technique - Ideomotor Questioning And Chevreul Pendulum
An alternative for ideomotor questioning is the chevreul pendulum. Remember that ideomotor questioning is different from other hypnosis techniques.
However, this method is normally easy, sometimes this can even be challenging. Despite, the information gathered will be very beneficial. The ideomotor questioning must be done only by a qualified hypnotherapist to gain all benefits. In fact, the subconscious mind will incline toward being too protective. Thus, this is not an issue.
The Chevreul pendulum, an alternative of an Ideomotor questioning, was first discovered by Anton Chevreul in the 18th century. In this hypnosis technique, a pendulum is used as a means of magnifying ideomotor movements.
Remember that the pendulum alone have no power alone but can be used to magnify body movements, which are the outcome of a thought process.
In order to use the Chevreul pendulum method, you need to have few things. Firstly, a piece of thread or string about 10 inches long is required. Now, slip it through a regular metal washer available at your local hardware store.
Next, place a piece of paper before you. Now, draw symbols on the paper including a cross, an x, and a circle to get your answers. The x represents “yes”, the cross “maybe” or “unknown”, and the circle, “no”.
The purpose of this hypnosis technique is that your subconscious mind will give answers to your questions. However, try to avoid moving the pendulum purposely in order to avoid diversion of your mind. Then, you ask a question by holding the pendulum over the paper, notice that subconscious mind directs you to the answer.
Obviously, for the hypnosis methods like the Chevreul pendulum to work you need to ask questions that results in a “yes”, “no”, or “maybe” answer. However, this hypnosis technique takes a little bit of time and practice so as to develop a list of questions to ask. So, do not allow yourself to get frustrated.
While some people don’t like to mess hypnosis with the Chevreul pendulum method, but remember that this technique is highly beneficial. In fact, ideomotor hypnosis is also very rewarding.
